Ground Zero Theatre (GZT) and Hit & Myth Productions (H&M) are proud to present CockTales, an evening of penis-centered monologues and entertainment. Directed by Ron Jenkins, these 14 monologues about the penis are hilarious, insightful and totally EXPOSED. The cast releases the goods on that part of the male anatomy that is always getting them into trouble!

After years of wandering, Denver and Marjorie find themselves in a remote northern community at the edge of a glacier, chopping wood, renting out stolen videos and snorting cocaine with Jude, a young gay man whose parents have abandoned him.
When Jude discovers the body of a prehistoric boy frozen in the glacier, everyone's lives begin to shift and thaw in unexpected ways.
Snowman asks us all one important question "What are you running away from?"

The Laramie Project chronicles the trial of
the two perpetrators and the reaction of the town of Laramie, Wyoming
after the brutal beating and death of 21 year old Matt Shepard in 1998.

Social norms are flipped on their ears in Heterophobia - a tall glass of gay with a twist of straight. Grant comes home for a visit after a tough break-up, with a secret that gets heavier by the second. As she struggles to hold on to her hidden desires, her Moms woo her with waffles, clean underwear, and the prospect of settling down and being artificially inseminated. But as Grant’s secret becomes too big to hold onto, she is forced to make a choice about revealing who she really is.

Jonathan Harvey’s tale of two boys, who, in the middle of the dreary, bleak setting of a London council estate, discover sparks of life and love, with 'Beautiful Thing'. Enveloped in a simple, beautiful story about a myriad of relationships – family, romance and friendship, we meet Jamie and Ste who discover the different levels of love and trust.
Jamie has a crush on classmate Ste. When Ste is badly beaten by his brother, he stays over with Jamie and his mother Sandra. In the absence of a third bed, Jamie and Ste begin their journey sleeping top-to-toe. Meanwhile Jamie’s mother, Sandra, begins a tenuous journey with a troublesome neighbour, Leah.
“For me, 'Beautiful Thing' is about love; a realistic love,” says Justen Bennett, Director of 'Beautiful Thing'. “Those simple, small loves that you have. This is a story set against a harsh, urban background with working class characters that are proud, stubborn, and not always nice to one another. The love in this play doesn’t inspire a dramatic change, but brings a small spark of life and hope to people who don’t always have a lot of hope. 'Beautiful Thing' reminds us, even in the harshest of surroundings, how simple, pure, and tender love can be.”
Justen Bennett is an emerging local director, actor, and sometime playwright. Most recently, he wrote and directed 'Addition: An Unconventional Love Story' at the 2009 Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival.
